The Kia Seltos finally made its global debut in India and it will be the first Kia model to be launched in India as well. It will be a connected SUV and will have multiple engine and transmission offers along with segment first features. The Seltos will be launched in July 2019 and will go up against the likes of Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and the MG Hector.
Renault has showcased the Triber seven seater in India and this marks the cars global debut. The Triber is a seven-seater premium hatch according to the company and gets an all-new petrol engine too. The Revolt RV400 is the first electric motorcycle from Revolt Motors, an electric vehicle start-up. The Revolt RV400 promises a range of 156 km, with a top speed of 85 kmph. 22 Kymco has finally entered India with three new models. The first is the iFlow which is a fully electric scooter while the other two, Like 200 and the X-Town 300i ABS are petrol powered scooters. 22 Kymco will begin deliveries of the scooter from September 2019 onwards. The company will begin its India operations with presence in 6 major Indian cities and expand to 200 plus cities over the next year.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has unveiled the company’s first BS-VI compliant two-wheeler, the new Honda Activa 125, with an updated fuel-injected engine and a long list of new features and cosmetic updates. The new Activa 125 will go on sale in September 2019, and is said to be 10 per cent more fuel-efficient than the outgoing BS-IV Honda Activa 125.
The Tata Intra is the newest addition to the small commercial vehicle segment, from Tata Motors, and is offered in two variants – V10 and V20. Along with a bunch of segment-first features, the Intra also comes with a powerful 1.4 litre diesel engine, and it’s positioned above the existing Tata Ace.
The Toyota Glanza has been finally launched in India. It is the first cross-badged model from the Toyota-Suzuki partnership and is exactly similar to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Prices start at Rs. 7.22 lakh and go up to Rs. 8.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Glanza only gets petrol engines where the lower trim gets a mild hybrid system.
