Verdict
The Bajaj Avenger Street 160 offers an affordable package in a cruiser-like design over what is essentially a commuter motorcycle. Ergonomics are feet forward and the suspension is softly sprung, not so great while going over broken surfaces. While the engine is good enough to potter around the city, the Avenger Street 160 is happiest at speeds under 80 kmph, and that limits its touring capabilities.

The Honda Unicorn 160 is a premium commuter from Honda and has been on sale for quite a few years now. It was rebranded from CB Unicorn to Unicorn 160 as a result of which it gets revised styling, improved comfortability, and finally, an engine kill switch. The first Honda Unicorn when it was launched, created quite a stir with its refined performance and monoshock suspension. The Unicorn 160 is the spiritual successor and still has a strong fan following.
