The New NX 350h has been awarded the highest rating of 5 stars by Euro NCAP, and with this new car, the Lexus safety system has also come to India. This means a whole lot of driver assist features are now available with the car. This includes Lane tracing Assist, Lane departure Assist and Rear cross traffic alert amongst others. However, the Automatic emergency brakeing feature seen in the United States is missing in India.

It manages to walk a very fine line between providing genuine family practicality and surprisingly sharp driving dynamics. The cabin is an incredibly comfortable place to spend time in, backed up by high-quality touchpoints and fantastic noise insulation.

While the heavy shift towards digital screens might alienate buyers who prefer physical dials, the tech works reliably once you get used to the menu layout. The engines offer superb grunt, whether you choose the frugal diesel or the rev-happy petrol. It doesn't quite have the outright interior space of a Mercedes-Benz GLE, nor the third-row practicality of an Audi Q7, but the X5 feels more engaging from the driver's seat. If you want a luxury family driver that actually rewards you when you push it hard, this is the one that deserves your money.
