The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 300 will not get any styling changes over the older model, but will come with an updated engine, new colours and increased local content.
Having recently introduced the BS6 versions of the Z900 and the Z650 motorcycles in the country, India Kawasaki Motor is silently discontinued the BS4 version of the Ninja 300. Dealers across the country have confirmed to carandbike that dispatches of the locally-assembled Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS4 motorcycle have been stopped from the company. However, the discontinuation is only temporary and the model will make its way back to the market in the BS6 guise by early next year.
India Kawasaki Motor has issued a recall for about 1,358 units of Ninja 300 ABS models which were assembled in India and are reported to have an issue with front brakes.
India Kawasaki Motor (IKM) has introduced the locally assembled 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 with Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) in the country and a more affordable price tag. The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is priced at Rs. 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the updated model now comes with new graphics and paint options, but more importantly gets the option of ABS. With more locally sourced content going in, the Ninja 300 is now cheaper by Rs. 62,000 than the previous version on sale.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been around for a while now and enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the next generation model that is expected to bring substantial upgrades to the quarter-litre offering. Now, a recent report suggests that Japanese bike maker could introduce a larger displacement Kawasaki Ninja 400 next year with model making its debut at upcoming EICMA Motorcycle Show next month.
The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 3.64 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The baby Ninja gets new livery - new decals inspired from the larger-displacement Ninja supersport models. The new Ninja 300 also gets a fatter 140 section rear tyre on the 2017 model, compared to the 130 section tyre on the outgoing model, and now meets new emission norms.
