Bentley and Vertu have unveiled an luxury Android smartphone. Just like the car, the phone too is pretty luxurious. The Vertu for Bentley smartphone features a quilted calf leather finish combined with Bentley's shade of Newmarket Tan and diamond pattern stitching.
So, what all does it have that oozes luxury? For starters, there's the titanium construction that comes with tactile diamond knurling detailing on the side rails. The back of the phone gets an engine-turned pattern which opens to show the engraved signature of the person in charge of building the phone - the mark of the maker so to say.
About the software, this one runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat and is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor running at 2.3 Ghz. It has 64GB of internal memory and is equipped with a 1080p 4.7-inch touchscreen display benefiting from sapphire crystal coating.
Then there is the 13MP back camera with twin focus and dual LED flash while at the front it packs a 2.1MP camera. It comes with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2,275 mAh which should provide enough juice for up to 15 hours and 30 minutes of talk time or 380 hours in standby.
Only 200 units of this phone will be made and it is steeply priced at $17,100.
