Cleaning Cloudy Headlights Is Easier Than You Think

When highlights become cloudy, it is essential to fix the issue at hand because cloudy headlights will cause the beam to dim, and you might end up in an accident. Due to low visibility, cloudy headlights can be a huge reason for concern. Drivers sometimes don't think there is something wrong with this or simply don't know how to fix cloudy headlights. The drivers continue to drive their cars with cloudy headlights in such a case. 

On the other hand, some well-informed car owners see that the headlights aren't performing optimally and the light is dim or not as bright as it used to be. They appear yellowish or dingy in most cases. Headlights were made from glass earlier, and they used to get a lot foggier.

Cleaning cloudy lights are fairly simple and don't require complex skills or knowledge. All you need is: 

• Microfiber towel 
• Water
• Brush 
• Toothpaste/cleaning product, or baking soda

The process only has five simple steps and saves you a lot of time and money. 

Initial Cleaning

Wipe your headlights thoroughly after spraying the cleaning agent. Before you get to cleaning the actual headlights, you should get rid of leaves, dead bugs, or dirt that might be stuck to your headlights.  

Wipe

Ensure that you dry the surface by wiping it clean. Use the microfiber towel to wipe and absorb all the liquids. 

Use Cleaning Product

Apply the cleaning product/ toothpaste/ baking soda to your headlights. If you use baking soda, mix it with some water to make a paste. Let the solution dry for a few minutes before you wipe it clean. 

Use Brush

Clean the car's headlights with the brush and ensure that you use a brush with soft bristles to avoid scratching your headlights. Once you start brushing, you will find that the yellowness is reducing. 

Take Off the Cleanser

After removing the muddy and yellow layer from your headlight, thoroughly wipe and rinse with water. Use the microfiber towel to clean the headlight, and you will see a brand new-looking and polished headlight. It will look as good as a new headlight.
