Mercedes-Benz India has announced nearly doubling its sales volume in the third quarter of the calendar year 2021. Between July and September 2021, the company sold 4101 units in India, achieving a 99 per cent growth compared to 2060 units sold during the same period in 2020.

Since its launch on October 2 last year, the Mahindra Thar has become the bestselling four-wheel-drive (4WD) SUV in India and it crossed the 55,000 bookings mark earlier in May this year.

Ashok Leyland's total sales for the domestic market stood at 8,787 units, witnessing a growth of 12 per cent compared to the 7,835 vehicles sold in the corresponding month last year.

Nissan India released its sales figures for September 2021, selling 2,816 units in the domestic market last month, which is a growth of 261 per cent over 780 units sold in September 2020.
