Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced its sales numbers for November 2021, and like India's leading two-wheeler manufacturers, domestic market sales have taken a beating. Honda's overall two-wheeler sales in the month stood at 2,80,381 units, including 2,56,170 unit sales in the domestic market, and 24,211 units in export markets. Honda's exports registered 18 per cent growth compared to the same month last year, when Honda had exported 20,565 units. However, Honda's domestic market sales were hammered in November 2021, registering a decline of nearly 38 per cent, down from 4,12,641 units in November 2020 to 2,56,170 units in November 2021.

Commenting on the monthly sales performance, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, "Adding to the supply side challenge of chip shortage in the recent past and a subdued festive season, low market sentiments have continued to prevail in the month of November. However, we are expecting some revival in market sentiments by last quarter of FY 21-22."

HMSI however continued on expanding its business and adding new milestones to its journey. In November 2021, Honda Two-Wheelers crossed the 40 lakh customers milestone in Karnataka. While the first 20 lakh customers in Karnataka were added in 16 years, HMSI added the next 20 lakh customers in just 5 years. Honda also strengthened its premium sales network across the country by expanding its Big Wing outlets across Ahmednagar in Maharashtra, Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, Angul in Odisha, Nagpur in Maharashtra, Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Mysuru in Karnataka, Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh, Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Guwahati in Assam, and Bengaluru (Karnataka).
