Morris Garages India is one of the few mainstream electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in the country, and its ZS EV is certainly a capable electric SUV. The company is witnessing great demand for the electric compact SUV, and last month, in August 2021, MG Motor India received its highest-ever monthly bookings, crossing the 700 units mark.

According to Suzuki Motorcycle India, the company despatched 73,463 units in August 2021, with 61,809 units sold in the domestic market alone.

In the domestic market, Honda sold more than 4 lakh two-wheelers, while exports accounted for 29,214 units.

Royal Enfield's domestic sales last month stood at 39,070, witnessing a decline of 18 per cent over 47,571 units sold during the same period last year.

TVS Motor Company sold a total of 290,694 units in August 2021, compared to 287,398 units in August 2020, showing a growth of 1.15 per cent.

On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, the company registered a growth of 85 per cent as compared to 6,055 units sold in July 2021.

Nissan India reported total sales of 3,209 units last month, a growth of over 296 per cent over 810 units sold in August 2020.

Last month, Kia India sold 16,750 units which include 8,619 units of the Seltos, 7,752 units of the Sonet, and 379 units of the Carnival. The Korean carmaker has registered a decent 54.4 per cent Y-o-Y growth over the same period last year.
