In August 2021, Maruti Suzuki's total sales stood at 130,699, a 5 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 124,624 units sold in August 2020. But, compared to 162,462 units sold in July 2021, Maruti saw a month-on-month decline of 20 per cent.

Tata sold a total of 28,018 passenger vehicles last month, witnessing a year-on-year growth of 51 per cent While internal combustion engine vehicles remained the major contributors, the company registered a spike in EV sales.
