Two-Wheeler Sales October 2021: TVS Overall Sales Down 10 Per Cent

- TVS announces monthly sales of 3,55,033 units in October 2021

TVS Motor Company has announced monthly sales of 3,55,033 units in October 2021, a decline of 10 per cent over October 2020, when the company had reported sales of 3,94,724 units in the same month a year ago. The company reported total two-wheeler sales of 3,41,513 units in October 2021, a decline of 10.6 per cent from 3,41,513 units in October 2020. Domestic market two-wheeler sales reduced by 14 per cent, from 3,01380 units in October 2020 to 2,58,777 units in October 2021. TVS expects retail sales to improve significantly in the coming months with pandemic restrictions easing the festive season kicking off.

Motorcycle sales of TVS accounted for 72,361 units in October 2021.
Motorcycle sales of TVS accounted for 72,361 units in October 2021 as against sales of 173,263 units in October 2020. Scooter sales of the Company registered 113,124 units in October 2021 as against sales of 127,138 units in October 2020. TVS Motor Company's total exports registered a growth of 3 per cent with sales of 95,191 units in the month of October 2021 as against 92,520 units in October 2020.

Exports of TVS grew 3 per cent in October 2021.
Two-wheeler exports registered a growth of 3 per cent with sales of 82,736 units in October 2021 as against sales of 80,741 units in October 2020. The company's three-wheeler sales registered a growth of 7 per cent with 13,520 units in October 2021 as against sales of 12,603 units in October 2020.

In October 2021, TVS launched its new 125 cc scooter, the new TVS Jupiter 125, and a month ago, the company launched its new 125 cc motorcycle, the TVS Raider 125. TVS Motor Company is India's second largest exporter of two-wheelers, and the company exports to over 70 countries around the world.
