Car Sales October 2021: Mahindra Records 8 Per Cent Sales Growth

- The surge primarily attributed to the overwhelming demand for XUV700.
- SUV sales went up by 9 per cent.
- Vans + Cars segment recoreded a decline of 69 per cent.
Mahindra & Mahindra has recorded a growth of 8 per cent in sales last month selling 20,130 units in October 2021 as compared to 18,622 units which were sold in the same month a year ago. The uptick in Mahindra's sales comes at a time when the entire industry has been gripped by the semiconductor shortage issue and is posting sales decline due to curtailment in production. Having said that, the surge in Mahindra's sales numbers is primarily attributed to the overwhelming demand for the new Mahindra XUV700 that has bagged over 60,000 bookings. The company has already announced that it will complete all deliveries by January 14 and has dispatched the booked cars to the dealerships across India as delivery begun in the last week of October 2021.
