Over 14,000 Mahindra XUV700 Deliveries Planned By January 2022

Mahindra has announced plans of delivering over 14,000 units of the new Mahindra XUV700 to customers by January 14, 2022. The new flagship SUV was launched on October 2, 2021, and the company reports that it already received over 65,000 bookings so far. Mahindra also announced that it will begin deliveries of the petrol variants from October 30, while deliveries for the diesel variants will begin in the last week of November 2021. Mahindra says that it fixed the delivery dates in partnership with one of the top three global consulting companies using an algorithm based process.

(Bookings for the Mahindra XUV700 began on October 7, 2021)
Bookings for the new Mahindra SUV were first opened on October 7, 2021, and in just 57 minutes the company received an overwhelming 25,000 bookings for the 2021 Mahindra XUV700. The next day, on October 8, 2021 the company again received over 25,000 bookings in just two hours, the booking window opened, thus crossing the 50,000 bookings milestone in just two days.

Deliveries will take place based on a combination of parameters including the quantum of bookings at city and dealer level, the ratio of online and bookings at dealer counters and variant-level production feasibility based on supply chain constraints. The delivery timelines will be communicated to customers by their respective dealerships from October 27 onwards for both petrol and diesel variants. The production of the Mahindra XUV700 SUVs was affected by the global shortage of semi-conductor chips as well.

Prices for the Mahindra XUV700 start from Rs. 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs. 22.89 lakh for the top-spec variants. There are over 20 trims available to choose from. Power on the SUV comes from the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines. Both mills are paired with manual and automatic transmission options.
