The Mahindra XUV700 bookings have crossed the 65,000 mark in a period of two weeks since the order books opened, the automaker has confirmed. Mahindra began accepting bookings on October 7, 2021, and received 25,000 orders on the same day in a span of one hour. The company received the next 25,000 orders on October 8. The additional 15,000 orders have been garnered since. Mahindra has also announced that it will begin deliveries of the petrol variants from October 30, while deliveries for the diesel variants will begin in the last week of November.

Given the overwhelming demand, the automaker has partnered with one of the top three global consulting companies to devise and implement an algorithm-based process to streamline deliveries for customers. Deliveries will take place based on a combination of parameters including the quantum of bookings at city and dealer level, the ratio of online and bookings at dealer counters and variant-level production feasibility based on supply chain constraints, the automaker said in a statement.

The delivery schedules could change depending on the global supply chain scenario
The delivery timelines will be communicated to customers by their respective dealerships from October 27 onwards for both petrol and diesel variants. However, this date may change depending on the prevailing global supply chain scenario, Mahindra added in its statement.

The new Mahindra XUV700 is priced from Rs. 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs. 22.89 lakh for the top-spec variants. There are over 20 trims available to choose from. Power on the SUV comes from the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines. Both mills are paired with manual and automatic transmission choices.
