The 2020 Mahindra Marazzo has been launched in India, and now the MPV complies with the more stringent Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission regulations. The new BS6 compliant Marazzo comes in three variants - M2, M4+ and M6+ - unlike the BS4 compliant model that came in four trims - M2, M4, M6, and M8. The 2020 Mahindra Marazzo is now priced between Rs. 11.25 lakh and Rs. 13. 51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is up to Rs. 90,000 more expensive than the older BS4 compliant model. In India, the MPV competes with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, XL6, Toyota Innova Crysta, and MG Hector Plus.
With the revision of variants, the base variant M2 and the mid-spec trim M4+ plus now come with some additional features compares to their BS4 counterparts. For instance, compared to the M4 that only came with steel wheels with covers, the M4+ comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. Similarly, the M6+ trim will get larger 17-inch alloy wheels, one-touch up/down driver window, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 1 GB memory, automatic climate control, and rear parking camera with adaptive guidelines, which were earlier offered with the top-spec M8 trim.
Having said that, the Marazzo M6+ now misses out on certain features that were offered with the M8 trim like - Android Auto and Apple Carplay, along with faux leather upholstery, cooled glove box, cruise control and power-folding ORVMs. However, the MPV continues to come with features like cornering lights, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, remote keyless entry, rear wiper & washer, roof lamp with theatre effect, height-adjustable driver’s seat, Mahindra BLUE SENSE App and more. Safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and all 4-disc brakes, rear defogger with auto timer, car theft alarm, and front & rear fog lamps among others.
While visually, the Mahindra Marazzo remains unchanged, it will continue to be available in both 7- and 8-seater configurations. The former will come with captain seats for the middle row and a bench seat at the rear, while the 8-seater option will have bench seats in both second and third row. Both the bench seats will continue to come with 60:40 split, and while the single seat of the second row gets one-touch tumble function, the rest of the rear seats can only be folded.
Under the hood, the 2020 Mahindra Marazzo will continue to get the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, however, it's now BS6 compliant. The motor makes the same 121 bhp at 3500 rpm and develops a peak torque of 300 Nm at 1750 to 2500 rpm, which will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. So, this time too we do not have an automatic option.

Marazzo means a shark in Italian. The styling of this car in the front resembles the sharp teeth of a shark. There are slats in the front that are six in number and there is some touch of chrome in them. The taillamps are quite interesting. The taillamps are shaped like the letter C that has been direct take from the tails of a shark. The body of Marzzo has been designed in such a fashion that it looks ferocious and aggressive like a predator. Two of the pillars are painted black. It adds to the pizzazz of this vehicle. The roof looks as if it's floating on account of the last pillar that's completely painted black.
The premium quality begins with the addition of certain features. The dashboard is dual-tone. There is a 7-inch touchscreen that is an infotainment system. There is a haptic touch in it. There is leather upholstery. The seats provide ample support to the thighs and the back. The lumbar support is commendable especially during the long drives. The glove compartment is cooled and there is cruise control too. There is one Android auto. An Apple Carplay could have been fitted. There is a couple of rows behind the seat of the driver. You can get a 7-seater or an 8-seater type. In the second row, there is comfort for placing the knees and the head. There is an AC vent on the ceiling. You will find a charging port inside the cabin. There are cubby holes too. There is plenty of space in Marazzo because there is 190-litre space for the cargo. If you down the 3rd row, space could be enhanced to 680 litres. That's a massive space in a car. If you push down the 2nd row, space could be further increased to 1055 litres.
The engine is all new and there is a torque of 300Nm at 1500 rpm. The engine has aluminium and lots of it. it has made the engine a lot lighter.
