Car Sales October 2021: Nissan's Domestic Volumes Rise By 254 Per Cent

Nissan India reported its sales for October 2021 and the company's wholesales stood at 6,917 units last month. The automaker sold 3,913 vehicles in the domestic market while its exports stood at 3,004 units, which is a massive jump in volumes for the company year-on-year. The automaker registered a 254 per cent hike in domestic sales when compared to 1,105 units sold in October 2020. Exports, meanwhile, stood at just 75 units during the same month last year. The Nissan Magnite has turned out to be the game-changer for the automaker significantly contributing to the volumes.

Speaking about the booming sales, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, "The first seven months cumulative sales are higher than the cumulative sales of last full financial year in spite of the challenges of Covid-19 and semiconductor shortages affecting supplies. In continuation of the positive momentum, this festive season has been very good with the channel partners delivering highest monthly retail sales on the strong performance of Big Bold and Beautiful Nissan Magnite and Nissan Kicks. Going forward on the strength of strong bookings of Nissan Magnite and the support of the supply chain our endeavour will be to maintain this growth momentum for the upcoming months."
Nissan India has ramped up its other convenience services on the side including convenience of doorstep service, pickup and drop service, as well as the Nissan Express Service, all of which are aimed to improve customer experience. The company is also offering the Nissan and Datsun cars on a lease that further customers to own the vehicle as per their convenience.
