The Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), has said that Harley-Davidson dealers were not informed of plans to wind up India operations.

The iconic Harley-Davidson is expected to enter a distribution agreement with Hero MotoCorp to sell its motorcycles, as it winds up manufacturing in India.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is all set to launch a new premium bike in India on September 30, 2020. And the bike could be called, the Honda H'Ness, a stylised word for Highness. This is indicative from the fact that HMSI's parent company Honda Motor Co. Ltd, has trademarked the name in India.

The made-in-India H-D Street 750 and the H-D Street Rod are likely to be discontinued with the company deciding to wind up operations in India.

Harley-Davidson has informed its employees of additional restructuring costs of $75 million which includes exiting the Indian market.

U.S. motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson said on Thursday it expects to report $75 million in additional restructuring costs for 2020 related to actions including discontinuing its sales and manufacturing operations in India.

The entry-level Suzuki V-Strom 160 adventure bike comes from Suzuki's Chinese partner Haojue.

Gina Goetter will be the first woman Chief Financial Officer at Harley-Davidson and will take over on September 30, 2020.
