It seems Mahindra is looking into tapping into the potential of electric two wheelers and is considering to introduce the GenZe electric two wheeler brand in the country. Currently sold only in the US, a spokesperson for Mahindra said that it is exploring other markets, including India for retailing GenZe two wheelers.

During the April-September period this fiscal, HMSI sold a total of 10,48,143 motorcycles in the domestic market registering a growth of 19.8 per cent.

Honda Motorcycle Scooter India (HMSI) leads the scooter segment in the country and will soon introduce a new model to further consolidate its lead. The two-wheeler maker has announced the new Honda Grazia that has been described as an 'Advanced Urban Scooter' for the metropolitan cities and is targeted at a younger customer base. Bookings for the new Grazia will commence from October 25.

Honda has released a second teaser video of an upcoming retro-styled motorcycle, which will be unveiled in November at the 2017 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy.

The small electric off-road bike, which could eventually replace the 50 cc combustion engine model, will be called the KTM E-Mini.
