  • Yamaha no have eyes to improve service quality
    1.0
    STD(Petrol)
I brought a bike in November 2019, I had damn confidence in Yamaha bike quality and service quality. as I expected bike quality is good and mileage also good enough, I never compared my bike with any other model or brand because I feel satisfied with that bike. but after every service, I keep on facing issues like, 1. Chain sprocket keep on loose - In 2 years 2 times used to change chain sprocket ( 18k KM) 2. while installing the Yamaha charge port in the Yamaha service center, the technician removed the pilot light connection and connected it to the charger port. they did not even have knowledge of wiring or installation. 3. without fuel injector cleaning, they charge an amount for fuel injector cleaning during paid service but they do not share the report of my fuel injector and engine. 4. during disc brake pad change, slightly bent the disc and have rubbing sound after brake pad installation. 5. after changing the accelerator cable, not routing the cable properly, 6. in general service not even lubricating properly, we should be the expert to validate and ask all requirements one by one. they do not service what Yamaha service plan or customer complaints and what we pay. 7. 1st fuel takes cover open and tank lock removed. 8. 2nd time, during the 5th service damaged the fuel tank cover, after several inquiries and complaints with customer care. I ask for CCTV footage of service but they say not have servicing footage only have footage for bike handover which is the entrance of Yamaha service where my bike stand. 9. not acknowledge their mistake and even during service they make damage and charging to customers. as a customer we want our bikes in good condition, we paying for their mistakes. 10. labor charges or not as per Yamaha labor cost defined in Yamaha website, if in service they 10 parts even minor or major. they put 10 labor costs for each part, other than that ask for general service. 11. even 1 time my bike met an accident, but they do not inspect it completely after that accident I faced my bike tyre was worn out 1 side and I check with a Yamaha service expert they said it may be due to type quality. I replaced the bike's rear tyre with my own money and in new bike tyre also facing the same. last week my bike's rear tyre bearing got damaged inside and unable to move the bike even 1 meter. I thank god, that god saved my life. if my bike bearing was damaged at high speed on highways for sure I would die on-road but it happened while crossing the toll that time I drove slowly and during braking, this happened. this is my overall experience with the Yamaha FZS - VI V3.0 model. I don't want to spend money anymore for this bike - worst tank design and no.1 worst service quality that Yamaha has here. Instead of having authorized Yamaha service, we are happy to go with local bike mechanic service, at least true for what we pay.

2021 is the worst version of FZS. Don't buy this bike. I can give assurance that you will definitely regret by buying this bike. I am now regretting. The blutooth facility they have provided is the worst thing on this bike and pick up is very very poor. Totally waste of money. You will get much better option at this price. Go for another bike.

Poor quality service...Service team abuses customers and cheats by charging exhorbitantly however doesn't replace parts even after charging for them. They even physically harm customers if they raise concern over service. The service team openly cheats customers by asking to replace parts which are repaired few days ago and change oil which was replaced few days ago.

  • Plastic quality sucks
    2.0
    FZ S V3.0 FI
Body fibre quality & fitting is very bad... It started making noise from various parts in early, around 7000kms. and Matt quality is super bad, it looks dull after 2-3 days of wash. I mostly hyper ride my bike & it's now requiring half engine work in 25000kms only, I don't know that my riding style is the reason for this or any other thing. If my riding style is the reason then how a 150cc sports category bike should be ridden that it doesn't require any engine work and that too early. If I should ride normally why I'll spend 1.15l rupees instead of I'll buy a 100cc normal bike.

Hi guys, I have bought fzs v3 bs4 in march 2019. I would like to share my experience This is my 1st bike. So I do take care of it alot. Timely services with trusted mechanics. There are rumours that engine oil that was poured by yamaha mechanics was not yamalube. So I will purchase yamalube in stores by myself and ask mechanic to change it in my presence. I personally believe n recommend you to buy spare parts n items by urself from yamaha store. Don't leave ur bike with mechanic. You may not know whether he is well using the items u bpught or he is using the cheaper n low quality items. So ur presence is very much important while repairing..all those are minor repairs which will take an 1hr. Make time for ur bike, If u do not then u will regret in future. When it comes to overheating of engine please mind the season and the climatic condition. In summer I use motul 7100 4T 10w50 While rainy n winters i go for yamalube 10w40 Timely services are very much important to get good milage which is around 52-56kmpl I recommend you to maintain well cleaned n lubed chain for every 500km atmost. Its better to check ur bike before going for long journeys. My regrets are less Torque, poor mud guard design, less digital console specs, side stand indicator.

Pros: 1. Very less vibration. Very comfortable ride even in 90 kmph speed . After that some u will feel some vibration . Top speed 104-105 kmph 2. Very short pick up compared to its competitors 3. Efficient mileage. I got around 54-55 kmpl on highway riding 4. Breaks are extraordinary. Front risk ABS is lit ???? 5. Provides good riding posture. You won't get backache even after 200 km of continuous riding 6. Good cushioning on seats. U can easily carry 2 pillion Cons: so there is no big issues with this bike but.... 1. Rusting problem in disks 2. Rear disk skids easily specially on slippery road. But you can immediately control it by using front disk 3. High beam is not upto the mark 4. Late engine oil change can produce sound in engine 5. Handle bar gets stuck with tank during U turn 6. Fuel gauze functions abnormally sometimes

Cons: 1. The bulky fiber body is damn delicate. 2. My gear got smoother after 4th service btw which bike vibrates at 55 to 65kmph, lower gear feels unsettled. 3. Lots of heat from the bike engine one can literally feel it after ride. 4. Tail look was the worst part of the bike. 5. Gets lot of muddy during rainy season more then wt u expect, Even under the seat Pros: 1. Bike feels smooth after 4th service dot 2. Very good mileage. 3. Nice exhaust sound.

I bought this in September. 1st glimpse i totally convinced for this bike, because this is the fresh one out there in its engine class, bt after a month i started hating its design, its looks, its engine, its breaking, its headlamp, its pickup, everything. Yes i love though its handling and comfort, bt really man v2 is much better than this, this is a uncle bike, whice should be price less than 90k. And lastly i hate is digital console. Pls i regrets buying this, don't buy this. Pls go for MT-15 or R15 . If i could get my refund, i will buy mt15 or honda cb150r.

Pros : 1. nice control feels good while driving 2. Good control at 60-70 speeds. 3. Well attractive stylish and muscular design. Cons : 1.avg mileage , yours and pillion butt hurts if you sat for longer period. 2.As everyone says mud spills on pillion . 3.Less pickup compared to other bikes in this category. 4. Tires grip are avg and braking is avg. Overall avg bike !!! If you want a stylish bike daily commute and not bothered about pickup , you can opt for this. If you want to travel for longer distances , i wont recommend it to you.

    FZ S V3.0 FI
I bought the bike on april 2019, its been 8 months, nice riding experience in this bike inside city and fantastic outside city, I don't do fast driving, and this bike is most probably not that kind of vehicle, so slow pickup is fine to me, as I'm not in a hurry to reach my destination????, I'll list out pros and cons below: Pros: 1.Mileage is around 53 -57 kmpl outside city and +/- 47 inside city before 2nd service and have to calculate again so it should be slightly improved than before.(going for 3rd service this month) 2.Smooth riding, I am getting it as I don't push my gear with pain that too at higher rpm's, I shift each gear slowly when the rpm nears close to 4000rpm, you'll know it in the digitalmeter. 3.Nice shock absorber front and centre(backseat). 4.Full comfortable sitting space. 5.Lighting is OK ,not striking but lot better than full reflection of incandescent lamps(those lights torture your eyes). 6.Service was excellent, I took for service they approached and checked within minutes and asked any problem you faced and they delivered the same day evening by calling that my bike is ready to take home.(its free service ,cost were for different oils change, thats it). 7.The main thing many didn't mention the handle in the backseat which is a full metal I think which is very useful when people hop in backseat especially Mother etc.. they can use the full handle rather some bikes have uncompleted handle , they(manufacturer) would have kept for style purpose it seems????. Cons: Minimalistic cons which are just temporary. 1.Someone mentioned about it when during rainy days or in wet roads, get wet mud gets sticked in the bottom part of bike and top part of the back tyre,Yes I agree. That is absolutely right. But for me the mud wont get till the backseat. Its fine for me I can wash it off in sundays????. 2.When riding at around 70s, I feel a little pain in my hand due to the vibration. Thats all the cons not a great deal. I gave 4 stars before cons buy I'll give full marks,???? And some one said bike producd sound at 10km, -One thing ,to not get a sound this ain't an electric bike ,you know what engine bike it is, It should produce sound , ignore any words spilt by low rating guys, Its your feel to know the bike, you have to ride it and know not them, any bike is good in something, This bike is good in above mentioned pros. Just get the damn bike.???? (New Bs6 engine and two new colours were launched it seems)

This Yamaha FZS-FI is worst yamaha Bike. there are lot of issues in this Bike which company should consider to work on otherwise they will lose their credibility which they have build upon time. Some issue with bike are 1. Engine is not smooth, 150 CC engine is not providing full throttle. 2. Fuel sensor is faulty 3. Electronic meter is faulty 4. Drum Brakes are making lot of noise 5. Have changed indicator bulbs twice in 4 months. 6. overall i think this bike do not have that much energy to run on road with full satisfaction. Yamaha seriously need to work on these issues

  • Poor build quality
    2.0
    ABS(Petrol)
I don't know about skeleton, milage n performance but what I see practically is that outer build quality of this bike was very poor. 1) instrument display is not hold fixed n it's flexible. I don't like that, as it should b in solid attachment with bike 2) the ignation key area is also flexible nd sides connected with tank body is not well finished. 3) oil input lock on the tank is also flexible 4) very thin colour coated on the plastic. There is no protective coating. As i have seen a scrached fz v3 on showroom. 4) gaps between plastic joints. 5) tap on the tank bump, u will find out that it is hallow like ballon nd prone to break easily with a minor accident. Overall, I can say it is a trap by Yamaha. This bike has the focus only on the tank hump though the finish is not the optimum. They charges higher only for distinct looks than the other available bikes in the market. Same engine nd performance with led nd abs is the new here. I have inspected TVS apache rtr 4v(though I m not a TVS fan), the build quality is way better than fzs v3. Any one can find the above details if he has the sharp eyes. Thanks.

    1.0
    ABS(Petrol)
I would recommend NOT to buy this bike, waste of money. It has poor design especially rear side mud guard. The mud spills over the bottom side edges of the passenger seat. Also, I checked with many authorized services center to fix this issue with but no support from YAMAHA customer care and service center. Useless bike ever. it not suitable to ride while raining or mud road as this bike is not designed to Indian climate, no proper rear mud guard, water is coming up from rear and you cannot ride with double.. if you do u will get scolds from your pillion as i got coz mud water splashing to his legs and back. I am fully disappointed with this bike, i could have bought Unicorn I stop using this bike and planning to sale

  • Very Good bike for average daily user
    4.0
    ABS(Petrol)
I have purchased the bike on 15th june 2019. I have already done over 2500 kms. Mileage is between 45 to 50. I have mostly used it for city based riding till now. Design was my primary criterion when i purchased the bike. Design wise the only negative is that the bike doesnt look that well when viewed from rear. Riding position is also very good. The brakes are excellent. I rode the bike in very slippery condition and found the brakes extremely responsive. The handling is another positive of this bike. Cornering in the bike gives real pleasure of riding. Now about performance the real let down is power when in higher gears. Im usually the first bike off every traffic signals because gear shifting is smooth and coupled with the initial pick up which is very good. At this time you get a racing feel but at higher rpm power is low which is evident when i get a long riding stretch and try for more acceleration. No vibration upto 90kmph(Thats how fast i have taken it thus far). Now the things which are outright disappointing is the headlight which is and i must say is "BAD". Another is the fuel meter which is mostly inaccurate and digital console not having gear position indicator. I think bike is slightly overpriced as mine cost over 1lakh seventeen thousand. My opinion is that bike is very good for city riding. The bike might not be a good racing bike. Touring is upto the individual as handling might be good but seats arent that comfortable.

BS6 Compliant Yamaha FZ, FZ-S Power Figures Leaked
Yamaha Motor India announced earlier this year that will roll-out the Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) compliant two-wheelers by November 2019, and now details have been leaked on the updated versions of the FZ and FZ-S motorcycles. The 2020 Yamaha FZ, FZ-S will soon meet the stringent emission norms and a leaked document suggests that the motorcycles will see a revision in power figures. The leaked image reveals that the technical specifications remain unchanged on the updated FZ and FZ-S FI models with power coming from the same 149 cc single-cylinder engine, but the unit will make only 12.2 bhp, instead of the current 13.1 bhp on offer. That said, power does arrive early at 7250 rpm, as opposed to 8000 rpm on the current model.

Exclusive: More Powerful Yamaha FZ V3.0 Set To Arrive In 2020
The 2019 Yamaha FZ V3.0 ABS was launched last week and the motorcycle gets a host of upgrades for the new generation version. The changes are cosmetic yet substantial and bring a refreshed look to the 150 cc offering. However, a lot of Yamaha enthusiasts including us were disappointed with the engine not receiving any major upgrades. The FZ is already one of the lesser powered options in its segment and a power update was expected with version 3.0. While it's been a no show this year, Yamaha is indeed working on a more powerful version of the FZ that will be hitting the showrooms sometime next year.
