    Special Edition(Petrol)
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a well-balanced bike with strong performance and a stylish look. The engine is responsive, and the handling is smooth, especially in city traffic. However, the fuel efficiency could be better, and the vibrations at higher speeds are noticeable. The bike is great for daily rides and short trips, but it may not be the best choice for long-distance touring.

From the purchase itself, my rear suspension is making noise (like thermocol sheets rubbing against each other)and showroom staff saying that it will improve over time , but it is not ... It feels very embarrassing to drive in off road or at lower speeds with it

  • Not good
    3.0
    Dual Disc(Petrol)
The quality of the bike panels , paint and materials used is kind of cheap for the price . U can do about 7000-7500 RPM after that the bike feels stressed, this is not for triple digit speed which u can easily do in NS . Its been almost 8 months and done around 3000 kms my experience with bike the is not that good . (3/5 rating)

  • Performance and Handling..
    4.0
    Dual Disc(Petrol)
One thing that I'm most satisfied is that the stability of the bike. Even though when ur @ 120 or 130kmph the bike don't even have any vibration and don't look like bike is straining.. Other thing is the initial pickup it's best bike in the 160cc segment I can say it's even better than the NS 160. A bit comprising fact in this bike is that the breaking part it's not as good as other bike's at this segment compared to FZ or Suzuki's Gixxer.. So overall it's best if u want to choose the performance bike this is the one.. u have to go for..

    Disc-ABS(Petrol)
I have used more than one year,Pick up and speed is high compared to other 160 segment bikes. And this weight also high it helps to take more than 115-125 speed without shaking in ride.Look is better semi sporty look. Maintenance cost also normal. While riding i felt like a horse rider and its brakes is normal.

  • FREQUENT ISSUES WITH VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE
    3.0
    Apache RTR 160 4V
Bought Apache RTR 160 4V after 1.5 years back. Since then bike never really ran smoothly even for straight 2 months. There is always issue with some of the other part of this bike. Disc Break Issue, Engine Issue, Losing Pick-up Suddenly in the middle of highway (which could be very fatal), Clutch Issue and everything above all replacement of silencer. Faced all these issues hardly within 1 year of bike purchase. I had so much faith in Apache Series but that trust no longer exists.

  • Don’t get fooled by the design
    2.0
    Disc-ABS(Petrol)
I have been using this bike from past 4 months. From the very first month onwards I have been facing the suspension and brakes issues. Riding comfort is getting worse day by day. After sales of TVS bikes are pathetic and the service is of third class. They won’t even properly look into the issues, just focusing teflon paint, oil changing that’s it. My first 2 services they have n’t done anything at all. Gixxer is now far better option in terms of every parameter. Don’t buy this cheap plastic bike.

  • Poor Mileage, uncomfortablity with rider's footrest

I purchased the bike on 4th June and I completed 5200kms till yet, I am riding approx 85kms per day on National Highway-8 Delhi-Jaipur Express way from Home to office. Bike giving mileage 30-33 kms per litre. I am facing Engine heating problem from the first day, Engine throws out the Carbonator when temperature gone higher of Engine, Footrest placed wrong, pant stuks in the footrests in traffic, I have changed 3 Spark plug till yet, bike shorting the plug when its speed gone higher than 90kms/hr. Its a wrost bike.....????????????????

  • It's a Heating Machine
    1.0
    Apache RTR 160 4V
As per company It's a race machine, but for me it's a race machine to run towards service center again and again. issues- It's heats up too much, Gear Problem, Gear Free Problem, starting problem, Headlight flicking problem, and yes- it sounds like a Tractor; even worse than that. I don't know how TVS says- it is best in class bike. According to me- it's a heat machine. For which neither the Dealer(TVS DHAMIJA, Sahibabad) nor the Twitter helpline and nor the consumer helpline 1800-258-7555 can resolve the issue, they just push again and again to you to visit service center not bothering that a person who have invested 1.04 lacs on purchasing your bike does have to work in order to pay the EMI's.

  • This bike cam take away ur life. Must read before u buy.
    1.0
    Disc-ABS(Petrol)
Yes its true that it can take away ur life. The issue is that when u are riding your bike above 40kmph and suddenly if u hit any speed breaker, pothole or any uneven surface the front lever gets jammed and the front brakes doesnt work. Now u have to put the max pressure on rear brakes and bike may get skid. So please be careful and think before u buy.

And very smooth in 5 the gear. The only complaint is break is not so good. It's an average breaking system. And I am using double disc model. Disc-ABS(Petrol)
Very uncomfortable nothings like the apache rtr 160 2v.Sound is like small cat. Quality control issues with overall parts. Abs is faulty. It become unresponsive/or/hard over bumper. Security issue. It's disheartening to know even authorized service center mechanic is helpless as they are not trained enough about abs. The mialage varry between 35 to 40 in mixed use. Handle bar is making noice in just 2000km. Vibration issues are as it is. Even worse than previous model. Total disastrous. Old Apache user a fanboy... But overconfident TVS.

    4.0
    Apache RTR 160 4V
Wonderful riding experience: Kickass Showa suspension, comfortable posture for both rider and pillion, sweet ergonomics, great handling, zippy, superb pickup from 0-60 km.p.l., very planted ride, great stability on both straights and curves, and sufficiently strong *braking. Ideal cruising speed: 85-95 km.p.l. Overall, great value for money. You will not find a better bike at this price. Definitely the leader in this hard-fought segment. The best variant, in my opinion, is the carb rather than FI, with the dual disc-brakes and wider rear tyre making a huge difference. Having said all this, although I'm extremely impressed with the overall package, I really should mention a couple of cons, just to be fair: I'm not happy with the quality of the welding, as it looks and feels quite shoddy. *However, the biggest shock for me was when my rear disc-brake locked, just as I was passing through the middle of a busy, open junction - I opened the throttle to avoid a car that was coming at me from my right, and there was no response. Luckily, the car driver braked in the nick of time, and I escaped from what could have been a very serious accident!!!!! TVS, please look into this matter, and take it very seriously, because I read about this brake-locking issue in another review as well, so it's obviously not just a one-off incident. Finally, I would like to thank and congratulate TVS Motor Company, for ticking almost all the right boxes with this amazing machine. ????Cheers!

Apache RTR 160 4v deliver 28 to 31 Kmpl mileage in real test city conditions. Even 9000 KMS covers in my Speedo the overall milage is below 31 Kmpl. Performance is nice. Engine heats so easily and Oil cooling is not working properly.

It's a very good bike...as in the case of 160 cc bikes this bike is the number one! I own one of these bikes ,riding this bike gives me a very powerful experiences as the tvs says they really built a racing machine..because you can't feel the speed is raising up.. this bike is so smooth..it gives me a complete satisfaction...the only demerit that I have felt is ..the breaking system .I think it deserves more efficiency!!
