TVS Jupiter 125 First Ride Review
The TVS Jupiter 125 promises not only a bigger engine and power but a whole lot more over the 110 cc version. But does it deliver? We got the answer to that at the TVS test track in Hosur.

Shootout: Hero Maestro Edge vs TVS Jupiter vs Honda Activa 3G
It is not surprising that three of the most selling scooters in the country - Honda Activa 3G, TVS Jupiter and the Hero Maestro Edge belong to this segment. Despite being part of the same ensemble, do the three scooters individually have something special to offer? That is the answer we find out in today's shootout.

  • Jupiter- a much better choice than its competitors
    4.0
    STD BS VI(Petrol)
Disappointed with mileage, feels much underpowered with a heavy pillion but it really accelerates hard and fast when solo ride or when rode with a light pillion u can feel the torque; headlight throw is okayish, comfort next level, stability and handling is superb, and road presence is quite good

    ZX Disc BS VI(Petrol)
Low ground clearance, Low mileage high maintenance. With in a year petrol tap broken replaced with charges for it they won't give warranty for us. At 25,000 clutch assembly set total and charged with 6000 rupees only (without any complaint) mandatory replacement for service center. After replacing clutch assembly, bendaxle got complaint service center saying that it should be replaced. I raised the issue for warranty. Service center rejected warranty for not brought the vehicle for service in lockdown period. Purchased 2019 12,3 services done, Lockdown came vehicle rarely used. Service also done according to kms Warranty rejected not bring the vehicle every month Service center Olive tvs Mvp colony, Visakhapatnam

    Classic Edition BS VI(Petrol)
I had bought this Juipter classic special edition in 2018 brown color when I was at the showroom looking at the other tvs scooters I was told all Jupiter variants give great mileage ARAI claims 60 to 65 but minimum you will get 50 to 55.....I was happy bcz even with 50 kmpl it can be a good option.....with mileage I felt I was getting good looks also but within 1 month the scooter started giving problems....plus mileage always came at 34 to 35 not more than this. I will not recommend this scooter to anyone

  • Lack of quality and bad engine or CVT
    1.0
    ZX BS VI(Petrol)
Pros-12 inch wheelsFuel open/close systemFront left storage.Easy centre stand and kick start.Cons -Spring noise.Seat length 90 % or more tvs jupiter make rubbing noise during transmission between 35- 45 kmph.Others 10% may happen inside but we don't feel by contact or less feel.Tvs ,they don't know how to fix it. Ignorance of customer is the only and major reason for their irresponsibility. No other brand cvt scooter has this fault. Paint looks very nice but glossy paint comes with poor quality. If u rubb, clear coat will fadeI have personal experience and common research to say jupiter is smooth till 35 kmph and after 50 kmph. Tvs send their product to the market with poor quality control.

I have a grande model ( drum brakes) the scooter has a faulty breaking system, the breaks make an irritating squeaking sound ( sound becomes worse in rainy season) the agency are not able to resolve the issue although they changed the break liner also Advise people mot to buy this piece of shit by TVS, go for activa or Maestro. Just to mention this problem is from the day 1 of purchase.

  • Worst Scooter
    1.0
    STD(Petrol)
I bought TVS Jupiter in Aug 2015, for my Dad who is a school teacher, the vehicle was very good initially with good mileage, daily commute is 30kms, very service the vehicle with TVS Authorized service stations,in correct time, without missing any service, now its been 4 years, vehicle odo reading is 36,000 kms, the scooter starting trouble, its doesnt start in tje morning, neither self nor kick, if you use self continuously, battery gets drained, if you kick continuously for 30-45mins-1 hour, your leg gets severe pain, that your cant walk/stand few seconds, the problem was adresses to TVS service station, contacted TVS through call, mail, twitter, but 'THEY DONT CARE',they just reject/neglect every thing, and TVS say 5years of Warranty, but its a rubbish, they dont even give you a screw with grabbing money from you,Each service centre say differnt problem, one say valve needs replacement, another say crankshaft needs to be changed, another say piston is damaged, but at the end every say spares is unavailable currently, must order and get, when you ask for warranty claim, ultimately spares never come and they never call you. We may find few extra features in Jupiter when compared to ACTIVA/ACCESS but thats where you fail, small makeup is wherw we get cheated and take this UNRELIABLE machine, whenever the scooter starts(can only be seen in TVS scooters) you get an Annoying noise/Engine cranking noise, its so rubbish sound, the kick when kicked just remains down and doesnt come back,Unreliable Engine- but during test rides you wont feel that, thats their trick, Mainly dont get this scooter for any female/ladies of your family, then you cant see them struggling seriously, only when you get the problem you will see TRUE face of TVS, while in showroom its PEARL, post showroom its PEBBLE.Showroom/service people talk golden words when purchasing but go with problem you can see monsters. I felt Activa was best now, where 2.5 lac customers trust and purchse.my whatsapp no. 9686645626.Please dont get cheated like me, and Remember, avoid this for Ladies.

  • Dangerous vehicle. I had 3 time fall as poor seat design
    1.0
    ZX(Petrol)
This scooter never gave me more than 42KMPL as against their advertisement in which Amitab bhachan appears. If you go at a speed of 50 kmpl and apply sudden brake when there is a sudden crossing of animal, vehicle or human being, you surely will skid from your seating position and your chin or chest will hit badly. If it is with a pillion rider, still dangerous. One can ride this scooter at 30 to 35 Kmpl that too without pillion rider. Hence I sold it and started using my bike which I am riding for the last 14 years without a single scratch.

Company mileage was 60 km/l . After 1500 km it’s mileage is 35 . So many defects i found in scooter . Most important is it’s handle issue it causes back pain and chest pain. Dangerous... no proper service . I feel TVS should close the production of Jupiter .. no quality . Bulky production causes quality compromises I think .. bad experience.

    ZX(Petrol)
I just wondering how this vehicle awarded for the best scooter of the year. I would like to share my experience with my brand new tvs jupiter, before 4 month i took my vehicle delivery from sinhagad road tvs, Pune showroom. Within three days i noticed engine valve tappet noise . I had informed to Shelar tvs service center and they taken my vehicle for service. After three days they returned saying issue has been resolved. On the way back from service station only i realized the issue was not resolved . I had reported with service team and given my vehicle back for service again. And after three days i got vehicle back from service center . I had a doubt that they not rectified this issue.Because it's happened 6 to 7 times. This is worst experience from Shelar Auto and also i m having same problem

Must buy tvs Jupiter. Fun to drive. Front suspension. 12 inch alloy wheel. Led head lamp.digital odometer..kmaal ki scooty hai riding k lye.better than Activa kyunki Activa main 10inch alloy wheel ki wajah se scooty bahut neechi lgti hai . Old suspension.not alloy wheel over all....superbbbbbb Tvs Jupiter.,,

  • Well balanced scooter
    5.0
    ZX(Petrol)
Well balanced between power, performance, milege and comfort. Go for it. You will be happy. But keep in mind that for the pillion rider, the footrest is placed slightly above, which may feel uncomfortable for some. But the suspension system is very good. Overall it is very fine. You will not regret. My milege(around 40) is clearly in town riding with very bad roads.

  • The fuel efficiency is really worst .
    1.0
    ZX(Petrol)
I have been using it from around 1.5 years and I get my Jupiter serviced regularly then also the fuel efficiency never goes up of 34-35 kms and there are several parts which I have to get replaced the side indicators are not working , upper bulb has been fused twice in a year , and there’s one constant sound which came from the silencer whenever I accelerate. Really disappointed.
