Pros Cons of Suzuki Avenis

Pros

  • This 125 cc scooter feels very quick with predictable and smooth acceleration.
  • At just 106 kg, it is agile and easily goes beyond 80 kmph.
  • Its absorbent suspension setup soaks up broken roads effortlessly.
  • The 780 mm seat height makes it convenient for all kinds of riders.
  • Its LCD console has Bluetooth with WhatsApp text updates, and a built-in USB charging socket.
  • Its 21.8-litre under-seat storage space is quite spacious, and it has an external fuel filler cap.
  • The floorboard area is wide enough for carrying some baggage and also gets utility hooks.

Cons

    • This scooter’s design is similar to the TVS N-Torq 125.
    • Its under-seat storage area is not deep enough for a full-face helmet.
    • The lower variants are not appropriately equipped with modern features.

Verdict

The Suzuki Avenis 125 is a well put-together scooter, which unlike the Access 125, has a sharper design. It handles city riding duties effectively, has excellent initial acceleration, boasts great stability and has a rich electronic instrument console.

Sure, the styling looks a little too familiar to the N-Torq, but all said and done, if you are looking for a reliable, quick and sporty looking 125cc commuter that offers reasonably good efficiency and effortless handling, this is the one to buy.

Pros Cons Suzuki Katana

Pros

  • Engine performance
  • Lack of engine heat
  • Great dynamics and sound

Cons

  • Neo-retro design is polarising
  • Lacks features
  • Small fuel tank limits range

Verdict

The Suzuki Katana has that nostalgic appeal to a 1980s design with modern performance. Mind it, the motor's got enough performance and more, and the soundtrack is addictive! It's got good dynamics backed by a chassis that keeps the Katana very well-balanced. To top it all, there's no engine heat, even in bumper to bumper traffic and it's got character, charm and excitement all rolled into a retro-styled package.
