After a hiatus of more than 2 and half years, the more powerful version of one of India’s most popular cars, Alto is back in the market. We drive the new Alto K10 in both its manual and Auto versions.

It is difficult to imagine a car with more features and a better performance at a reasonable Rs 2.99 lakhs than Maruti Alto 800. Not only has the engine been refined to keep pace with the present times, it is taller, have new distinctive aspects like slimmer front grille, petal-shaped headlamps, a new dashboard and new seat fabric alongwith CD/MP3 player, air-conditioning, power steering and front power windows for the LXi variant.

The reason to bring this piece to you is - you guessed it - Alto. Maruti has introduced its automated-manual transmission - better known as AMT - in the K10 model of the Alto. The Celerio was the first to flaunt the AMT gearbox across Maruti's portfolio.

Suzuki has published the first official image of its latest concept, a hot-rodded kei car dubbed the Alto RS Turbo. The crazy small car is based on the stock eighth-gen Alto that was introduced recently.
