Rumble
A hole in the muffler leads to a noise that is similar to rumbling. A hole in the car's muffler can lead to fumes leaking into your car, which can be extremely dangerous. You will then inhale this! Alternately, if your car is shaking along with rumbling, then this could mean that there is a faulty spark plug. This leads to the misfiring of cylinders.
Squeal
When there is something wrong with your brakes, they make a squealing sound. The padding which gets worn out might be causing your brakes to make this noise. It would be best if you immediately headed to the repair shop as this can easily lead to failure of breaks in no time, which can be extremely dangerous. If there is not much damage done, you need to replace your brake pads.

Knock
When your ignition is faulty, it will generally lead to your car making a knocking noise. You hear this sound because the fuel ignites within the cylinder, leading to a noise that sounds like knocking. A distributor cap, spark plugs, or a fuel injector that has gone bad can be a few reasons why your ignition has become faulty.
Hiss
Your mechanic needs to check why your car is making a hissing noise. A hissing noise can be the result of any number of reasons. Your engine might be too hot, your car's vacuum might be leaking, or there might be plugging in your car's catalytic converter. It can also be because of fluid leaks on the engine's hot areas. When heating occurs from burning, what you get is a hissing sound. Another reason might be that coolant is leaking from your engine.
In other words, it is best to let the professionals check what the problem is.
Pop
A popping noise can be very unsettling. Imagine driving and suddenly hearing a pop. There might be a leak in the engine exhaust, or your car's air filter might be dirty, which causes a popping sound. It is best to take your car to a mechanic and let the professional check it out.
