MAD Industries has unveiled a one-off custom Scrambler based on the Honda CB500 platform. Honda had commissioned the California-based Mangum Automotive Designs (MAD) and the result is a beautiful one-off Scrambler built in collaboration with Lossa Engineering.

The front end is taken from the new Honda CBR600RR, including 41mm upside-down fork and radial-mounted front brake calipers. Rear suspension is a monoshock from Ohlins and a custom seat and body panels add to the custom Scrambler look. A new short muffler and blacked-out engine complement the Scrambler's looks.

The seating position appears to be more upright, thanks to a new handlebar, equipped with adjustable levers and new knobs. Scramblers seem to be the current favourite among both custom builders and manufacturers alike and this concept certainly ticks the right boxes if Honda decides to take the production route for a similar Scrambler model.

The design overall is neo-retro, with a round headlight underscoring the classic lines, but it gets the modern touch courtesy the LED lights. The CB500-based Scrambler is the result of two bikes built by MAD, the other one a similar neo-retro design but with different paint and machined parts, as well as a new Yoshimura exhaust.
