Jeep India is pinning its hopes on the Compass for a generating volumes. It is the most affordable SUV from the American company in India. It will presently have a 2.0-litre turbo-charged diesel engine and will also get a 1.4-litre petrol.
After making us wait for months, Jeep has finally announced the prices of the Compass today and formally launched it in India. The prices of the Jeep Compass start from Rs. 14.95 lakh and go up to Rs. 20.65 lakh. The Jeep Compass is be the most affordable model from Jeep in India and Jeep India MD, Kevin Flynn, too believes that it will the model that will generate a lot of volumes for the company in India. The Jeep Compass will be launched with a 2.0-litre turbo-charged diesel engine. There will be a 1.4-litre petrol engine on offer as well. Jeep has already started taking bookings of the Compass in India and will be exporting the same to other right-hand drive markets in the world such as Australia, Japan, and England etc. It is being manufactured at Fiat’s Ranjangaon facility in Pune.
