2020 Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro Enters Production
The 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT which was unveiled last year at the L.A. Motor Show has finally entered production and will hit the road shown. And the first model to roll off the assembly line will be the even more track-focused version- the Mercedes-AMG GT Pro which is inspired by the AMG GT3 and GT4 race cars. The 2020 Mercedes AMG GT will be available in the GT, GT C, GTR and the GTR Pro is the new top-end and even more manic trim. It's still a two-door sports car and the Panamericana grille has also been retained but is more angular at the edges and the headlights have also been re-worked- essentially has been borrowed from the new AMG GT 4-door.

Shelby Super Snake Could Be Shelby's First Offering In India

The newest iteration of the Shelby Super Snake is based on the 2018 Mustang facelift and draws power to from Ford's 5.0-litre V8 engine. Shelby has added its own touch to the motor that now belts out 700 bhp thanks to a massive supercharger. In addition, the souped up version gets a Shelby extreme cooling upgrade including a radiator, aluminium tank, and heat exchanger. The car also comes with a short throw shifter for the manual version, and also gets a Ford Performance Exhaust and one-piexe drive shaft. The automatic version gets a separate cooling system too. It's unclear as to which version will come to India. We do hope both the manual and automatic transmissions are on offer.

Isuzu To Increase Prices Of The D-Max From April

Isuzu Motors India has announced to increase the prices of its commercial pick-up range- the D-Max Regular Cab and the D-Max S-Cab. The company has decided to increase the prices by 2 per cent which will be effective from April 1. Following a series of price hike by carmakers like Mahindra, Tata Motors, Renault and Nissan, even Isuzu has made the price hike announcement citing similar reasons. The company has cited rising input costs and distribution costs as the reason for the increase in prices.

The 2018 Datsun GO and GO+ will be getting more expensive from April. Nissan India has announced to increase the prices of both the models by up to 4 per cent which will be effective from next month i.e. April 1. Nissan has decided to increase the prices after a series of price hike announcements made by other carmakers such as Mahindra, Tata Motors and Renault. Similar to other carmakers, even Nissan has cited rising input costs as the primary reason for the price hike.

Ford To Exit Russian Passenger Car Market, Cede Control In JV

Ford Motor Co's Russian joint venture Ford Sollers will close two assembly plants and an engine factory in Russia, exiting the country's passenger vehicle market. The move is part of a restructuring that will see Russia's Sollers assume control of the venture, which is currently led by the U.S. automaker, the companies said in a statement on Wednesday. Industry sources told Reuters this month that Ford was considering closing Russian plants as it was reviewing operations in unprofitable regions.
