Citroen today revealed its strategy for India and it has outlined the cars that will launch in India starting 2020. The company said that the C5 Aircross will be launched in the country in 2020 and it will launch a new car every year till 2023. The entry into India is part of larger "Push to Pass" strategic plan which is part of Groupe PSA's vision of becoming a global automaker. Though the launch of the cars is more than a year away, the company has already set itself a goal when it comes to market share.
French automaker Citroen held its first press conference in India announcing the company's entry into the Indian auto industry. The PSA Group company also unveiled its first product for India which will be the Citroen C5 Aircross SUV and is all set to arrive in the country in 2020. carandbike exclusively told you last month about Citroen bringing the model to India and the all-new offering will be taking on a number of offering in the compact SUV segment including the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and the upcoming Kia SP2i SUV. The SUV will be brought to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route with about 70 per cent local content going in and will be assembled at the company's Hosur-based facility in Tamil Nadu.
Tata Motors has not produced a single unit of its most affordable car - the Nano - in the last three months. According to a report in PTI, Tata Motors has not sold a single unit of the Nano in March 2019. The company is yet to take a call on the future of the Nano, chances of it surviving the upcoming crash test norms are slim. The stringent safety norms will require the Nano to be redesigned from scratch which will not be possible without fresh investment.
The Hyundai Venue was also in the parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh where it went under cold weather testing. The Hyundai Venue was tested at a low temperature of -6 degree Celsius and at 7000 ft. altitude. It was also driven from Jim Corbett to Nainital, across the Naini hills over snow-covered terrains to test the traction of the car.

The top U.S auto safety regulator said on Monday it will open an investigation into 3 million Hyundai Motor Co and Kia Motors Corp vehicles after reviewing reports of more than 3,000 fires that injured over 100 people.The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the investigation is in response to a petition seeking a probe filed in June by the Center for Auto Safety. The investigation covers the 2011-2014 Kia Optima and Sorento and the 2010-2015 Kia Soul, along with the 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata and Santa Fe.
Hyundai India has been unfolding details about the Venue subcompact SUV ahead of its debut on April 17, 2019. While the company revealed the features on the new offering just yesterday, images of the Hyundai Venue have leaked online revealing the exterior design of the SUV. The all-new offering is a sub 4-metre Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Mahindra XUV300 rival, and the design takes a lot of cues from the automaker's global SUVs including the Creta and the Kona. In fact, influences of the latter are evident inclding the massive cascading grille, and the split headlamp design. The leaked images also reveal the LED turn indicators, projector lens headlamp and the square LED daytime running lights on the Venue.
