Jaguar has recently revealed the price of its most potent model in India - the Jaguar F-Type SVR. Available in both, coupe and convertible models, the new Jaguar F-Type SVR priced at Rs. 2.48 crore and 2.62 crore (ex-showroom India) respectively.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Cayenne integrates major technological and mechanical developments which enhance its performance.

The new Goods and Services Tax regime had seen a realignment of taxation in the passenger car space to 28 per cent GST. However different segments of vehicles also attracted an additional cess - 1 per cent for small petrol cars / 3 per cent for small diesel cars (under 4 metres in length and certain engine capacity), and 15 per cent for larger cars and SUVs. Only pure electric cars attract a 12 per cent GST rate and no cess. That cess of 15 per cent for the larger cars is now set to go up by an additional 10 per cent.

The Skoda Octavia RS is the most powerful offering from the Czech carmaker in India yet and will be priced around Rs. 30 lakh. The 2-litre turbo-petrol unit makes 230 bhp and 350 Nm peak torque and gets the option of a 6-speed DSG unit.

The next-gen Verna is creating quite a buzz. Volkswagen has said that it will be unveiling the T-Cross SUV in 2018. It will be built on VW's MQB platform and share its design and styling with the recently unveiled T-Roc SUV.

The 2018 S-Class Cabriolet facelift will get the new OLED (organic light-emitting diode) taillamps. The car will make its public debut at the upcoming 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Renault has launched the Kwid 02 Anniversary edition in India at a starting price of Rs. 3.43 lakh. The Kwid 02 Anniversary edition gets a few new features and will be available on the 800 cc and 1.0-litre models.
