Auto Expo 2018: Tata Motors' 45X Concept Is An i20, Baleno Competitor

At the Auto Expo 2018, we got to witness a completely different side of Tata Motors and the H5X concept is a testament to that fact. Another concept that made its world debut at the Auto Expo 2018 was the 45X concept and yes, we have to say that it is drop dead gorgeous. We say that, because the 45X oozes confidence with the bold stance and the premium elements are all there. The 45X looks like a hatchback and the design is more on the European lines. The design language is the next level of the Impact design and yes, we're going to see more of it in the upcoming Tata cars.

Just like in the H5X, the styling of the styling of the car is eye catching. There's a strong ridge on the side that seamlessly blends into the A-pillar and then runs back up to extend to the rear. Tata has showcased the 45X behind a glass enclosure, so sadly we couldn't get a peek into what the car had to offer on the inside, but from what we could see, the premium hatchback was more than 4 metre long and the bold stance meant it stood on fatter tyres, 18-inchers in all probability.
Pratap Bose, Head Design, Tata Motors on the Design of the H5X Concept
The rear windscreen rake is sharp and the roof spoiler and the contrast roof, brings out the sporty side of the car. Not many details were revealed about the car but we expect the production version of the 45X to be the first model to be built on Tata's AMP platform. It will go on sale in 2019 and if it turns out to look like the concept, the Baleno, i20 and Jazz, have a lot to worry about.
