Audi Confirms New Q3 For India This Year; A5, Q9 To Arrive By 2027

- New-generation Q3 set for festive season launch
- Audi A5 to replace the A4 in India
- Q9 flagship SUV also confirmed for 2027
Audi India has confirmed that the new-generation Q3, A5 and the all-new Q9 will join its India portfolio by 2027. The first to arrive will be the third-generation Q3 during this year's festive season, while the A5 sedan and Q9 flagship SUV are slated to follow next year.
New Audi Q3
The new-gen Q3 made its global debut in June last year and brings Audi's latest design language to the compact luxury SUV. It gets Digital Matrix LED headlamps, T-shaped LED daytime running lights with configurable signatures, sculpted wheel arches and an illuminated Audi logo at the rear, joined by a split tail lamp arrangement.
Globally, the third-gen model is offered with a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, a 2.0-litre diesel and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, all paired with a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The India-spec powertrain, however, remains to be seen. The Q3 Sportback is also expected to launch alongside the standard model.
As for the interior, the cabin has been completely redesigned around a curved display housing an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system running Android Automotive OS.

Audi A5
The new A5 made is global debut in July 2024 and will replace the A4 in Audi India's lineup. It is based on the brand's new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture and adopts a sportier look than the A4. A wider Singleframe grille, slimmer LED headlamps and a flowing roofline give it an aggressive look, while the rear is finished with a full-width OLED light bar featuring configurable lighting signatures.
Globally, the A5 is offered with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engines. The petrol is available in 148 bhp and 201 bhp states of tune, while the diesel develops 201 bhp and 400 Nm. Which of these powertrains Audi chooses for India is yet to be confirmed.
The dashboard is dominated by Audi's latest digital layout, comprising an 11.9-inch Virtual Cockpit, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and an optional 10.9-inch display for the front passenger.

Audi Q9
At the top of Audi's SUV range will sit the Q9, the brand's largest and most luxurious SUV to date. Measuring over 5.3 metres in length, it slots above both the Q7 and Q8 and is the first Audi SUV to wear the '9' badge. Like Audi's latest SUVs, the Q9 features Digital Matrix LED headlamps, OLED tail lamps, an illuminated logo and a full-width rear lighting signature.
Globally, the Q9 is available with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel producing either 241 bhp and 500 Nm or 295 bhp and 630 Nm. Audi also offers petrol-powered variants, including the performance-focused SQ9. The India-spec powertrain lineup remains under wraps for now.
Inside, it gets a three-screen layout comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display. Another highlight is its electrically operated doors, which can be opened or closed at the touch of a button.
