Production-Spec Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Spotted Testing Ahead Of Global Debut

Royal Enfield appears to be in the final stages of developing the Himalayan 750, with a near-production test mule recently spotted on public roads in the UK. Seen close to the company's Technology Centre in Leicestershire, the latest prototype offers the clearest indication yet of what to expect from the brand's upcoming flagship adventure tourer.

While the overall silhouette remains unmistakably Himalayan, the larger motorcycle features several styling changes over the Himalayan 450. It retains the familiar round LED headlamp but gains a taller windscreen and a proper front fairing that flows into the fuel tank, replacing the exposed tank-frame design seen on the smaller bike. The upswept exhaust is also larger and positioned closer to the tail section.

Unlike the Himalayan 450, the 750 will prioritise on long-distance touring. The prototype features a sizeable fuel tank, a relatively low seat, a fixed windscreen and a centre stand, all pointing towards improved touring comfort. The test mule was riding on 19-inch cast alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased CEAT tyres, suggesting this particular version is aimed more at highway use than for riding off it. The suspension setup includes upside-down Showa front forks and a rear monoshock with a remote preload adjuster, while braking is handled by twin front discs paired with ByBre calipers.

Powering the Himalayan 750 will be Royal Enfield's all-new 750cc parallel-twin engine featuring a 270-degree crankshaft. While performance figures are yet to be revealed, the new motor is expected to deliver more power than the existing 650cc twin.

Feature-wise, the Himalayan 750 is expected to bring in ride-by-wire throttle technology for the first time on a Royal Enfield, paving the way for features such as multiple riding modes and cruise control. A circular TFT instrument display, similar to the unit on the Himalayan 450, is also visible on the prototype.

The Himalayan 750 will be the first model built around Royal Enfield's new 750cc twin-cylinder platform, which will later underpin future generations of the Interceptor, Continental GT and other twin-cylinder motorcycles in the company's lineup. Its global debut is expected to take place at EICMA 2026.
