Renault Duster Compact SUV's Price Slashed

In a bid to increase its sales in the market, Renault India is offering heavy discounts on select variants of the Duster. The entry-level 85 PS (84bhp) diesel variant is now Rs 40,000 cheaper at Rs 9.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 110PS RxL AWD (All Wheel Drive) variant is now cheaper by Rs 61,000 at Rs 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Along with the cash discount, the company is also offering 4 years roadside assistance and 2 years' warranty on the compact SUV. The Duster is sold in both petrol and diesel engine options; the petrol model is powered by a 1.6-litre unit, capable of churning out a maximum power output of 102bhp and 145Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel models of the car feature a 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine in two states of tunes - 85PS (84bhp) and 110PS (108bhp) mated to 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual gearboxes respectively.
The 85PS model of the car returns an impressive 20.45Km/l, whereas the 110PS version promises 19.01Km/l. Interestingly, the AWD variant of the compact SUV is claimed to return even better fuel efficiency than the regular 110PS 4x2 model at 19.72Km/l. That said, petrol model of the vehicle is not as fuel-efficient as the diesel models at 13.24Km/l.
