Sachin Tendulkar Customises His BMW i8

- The God of Cricket is also BMW India's brand ambassador
- His BMW i8 is a one-off with custom a paint job among other upgrades
- Sachin's car collection also includes the BMW 30 Jahre M5, 7 Series, etc.
Sachin Tendulkar apart from being the God of Cricket is also an all out speed freak and a hardcore petrolhead! He is also the brand ambassador for BMW India and owns some pretty cool BMWs like the 30 Jahre M5, a BMW 7 Series and a few older Beemers too. His coolest new BMW though has to be the i8 hybrid supercar that he bought soon after its launch in India. Of course, Sachin being a petrolhead isn't known to be satisfied with just another standard car and has a history of customising and modifying his cars. And now, the i8 has been given the custom treatment too.

Sachin Tendulkar's customised BMW i8
What started off with just a standard white i8 has now been transformed into a one-off. For starters, the car now has a set of ADV1 multispoke custom wheels that have been finished in a shade of black with blue centres to match the blue highlights on the car. The white of course has been replaced by this deep and very cool shade of wine red. And no, before you ask, this is not a wrap. The i8 was meticulously taken apart panel by panel and repainted in this shade in Mumbai to the Master Blaster's levels.

Sachin Tendulkar's BMW i8 also sports blue highlights
Although BMW officially offers a bright red shade in the official factory list of colors for the i8, we think this is the first wine red i8 in the world. The blue highlights do look a little out of place on the car but since the i8 is a hybrid supercar, we guess it is quite apt.

Sachin has also has a few more custom cars in the past. For example, in the late 90s, Sachin had just become the proud owner of a quick sports sedan and after using it for a few months, he wanted it to be a little quicker and more powerful. At the time, he turned to one of the premier tuners in the country who was situated in a popular motorsport town in South India.

After driving the car on the street, the tuner sent the car back to Sachin with a polite note saying 'this car is fast enough for Indian roads!' Sachin also owned a few modern supercars in the recent past which have been customised by very popular tuners from across the world.
