In May 2020, the Hyundai Venue completed one year in the Indian market, and so far, the company has sold over one lakh units of the subcompact SUV. Out of the Venue's total sales, over 97,400 units were sold in India, while more than 7,400 units have been exported to other markets.

Home-grown commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland, has reported a loss of Rs. 57 crore in the last quarter of Financial Year 2019-20. In comparison, the company posted a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 653 crore during the same period last fiscal year.

Vehicle registration for the month of May saw a massive drop of 88.87 per cent in India. According to the report shared by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), total vehicles registered in May 2020 amounted to 2,02,697 units, as against the 18,21,650 vehicles retailed during the same month last year.
