The test mules of the Yamaha E01 electric scooter are heavily camouflaged, but look almost ready for production.
Although the test mule is heavily camouflaged, it is clear that Yamaha has stuck to the overall concept styling and has not made much changes, apart from the seat which has a more conventional shape than the concept. The front fender and mirrors are also slightly different. The Yamaha E01 rides on 13-inch wheels on both ends, with dual-channel ABS. Keyless starting and operation, as well as various riding modes will be standard.

The powerplant and performance is not clear at the moment, but it should be comparable to the average 125 cc scooter.
What is not clear is the performance of the electric scooter, but we can expect class leading figures, considering the E01 will be launched first in Europe, the United States and even China, apart from Japan. We expect Yamaha to launch the E01 globally around March or April 2022, but so far, there are no plans of an India launch.
