Key Highlights

We spotted a Yamaha bike being tested on the Greater Noida expressway and we caught one of them on camera. From what we can see, it looks much like the FZ-S concept that the company showcased at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.

The prototype which you see in this picture looks uncannily similar to the concept. It's the same taillight design and lookswise is much sharper than the FZ.

Up front, you can see the air inlet positioned below the fuel tank which we saw in the concept. To that add a splash of dual-tone colours and presto! The FZ is a fresh and much wanted change to the line-up.

Mechanically, the FZ could possibly use the current 153 cc single-cylinder engine which produces 13bhp but there is a high chance that Yamaha would make it a bit more powerful. We expect Yamaha to launch the bike this year itself, possibly by August.
