Pros Cons of Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350

Pros

  • Very appealing bobber design with a choice of four vibrant and true-blue custom colours, the Goan Classic 350 is one attractive motorcycle.
  • Smooth and refined engine which is torque-laden and features a meatier exhaust note, which is quite likeable, and of the standout features.
  • Cross-spoke tubeless wheels with period-correct whitewall tyres which are tubeless. Tubeless tyres in this segment and price point certainly are a big advantage and will be easy to repair in case of a puncture.

Cons

  • The ergonomics are not very comfortable for longer rides, even though the taller handlebar feels neutral and easy to reach.
  • It’s the seat and the feet forward riding position which translates to a somewhat cramped and fixed riding triangle.
  • Brakes feel a little spongy and requires a fair squeeze of the brake levers to shed speed quickly.

Verdict

The best part about the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 is its attractive design and flamboyant colours. As an affordable factory custom bobber, this is one motorcycle which makes a compelling case. As a second bike, or as a motorcycle for short rides around town, and to make a style statement, the Goan Classic 350 is a very good option, and is an appealing motorcycle. The riding position and ergonomics though doesn’t make for a very comfortable motorcycle for long hours in the saddle. And the slightly bouncy ride quality, at the rear, which makes you feel all the bumps and road potholes up your tailbone, makes for a not-so-comfortable motorcycle if you intend to do more than short blasts around town.

Pros Cons QJ Motor SRC 500

Pros

  • Retro-roadster design
  • Decent performance
  • Feature rich motorcycle

Cons

  • Relatively unknown brand
  • Limited reach
  • Expensive

Verdict

The SRC 500 follows the same retro design principle but gets more premium touches such as dual tone paint finishes, additional chrome garnishing and larger alloy wheels. Power comes from a 480cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine developing 25.1 bhp and 36 Nm. The unit is paired with a 5-speed gearbox with stopping power coming via disc brakes and both ends. As with the smaller 250, the 500 gets dual-channel ABS. It is priced at Rs. 2.69 lakh.
