Features

Pros Cons of TVS Apache RTR 165 RP

Pros

  • High-Performance Engine
  • Top-spec components
  • Sharp handling

Cons

  • Limited Availability
  • Racy body graphics not suitable for everyday use
  • More expensive than stock Apache RTR 160 4V

Verdict

The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP is a special edition model which is already sold out. With better performance, improved braking hardware, brass coated chain and sprocket, the Apache RTR 165 RP certainly offers an attractive proposition, but comes at a price. Despite the engine with more performance, low-end grunt is lacking in the Apache RTR 165 RP and the price tag makes it feel expensive.

Pros Cons Suzuki Gixxer SF 250

Pros

  • Comfortable riding position
  • Refined and tractable engine
  • Excellent ride quality

Cons

  • Basic instrument cluster
  • Premium pricing
  • Does not thrill with performance

Verdict

In India, it will go up against the likes of the Honda CBR250R, Yamaha Fazer25 and the KTC RC200 and at a price of ₹ 1.71 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), we believe the Gixxer SF 250 to be a solid purchase in its segment. It looks good, has decent performance and handles quite well too. It sporty enough to be ridden around switchbacks and can handle daily commuting too with equal aplomb. It may have entered a little late to the 250 cc - 400 cc segment but it is definitely a well-rounded package.
