What's New on Hyundai Creta?
Introduction

- The Hyundai Creta has been achieving major sales milestones thanks to its popularity.
- Since its debut 10 years ago, the mid-size SUV has always been a hit with more than 12 lakh units sold now.
- Now in its third generation (2015, 2020, 2024), it stays updated with tech and features.
- Currently it's still offered in two special editions — Knight (2022) and Adventure (2024).
- Hyundai even launched two new variants of the Creta in March 2025, with it being the latest update.
- It added some features too, and now this popular compact SUV is offered in the EX (O) and SX Premium variants as well.
Exterior

- In its latest iteration, its fascia is very different with a new black chrome grille.
- This, along with new LED DRLs, rectangular LED headlamps, and a heavily reworked front bumper, give the Creta a very different look.
- Changes to the side profile are limited to a new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the silhouette is like the outgoing model.
- At the back, the updated mid-size SUV boasts a redesigned bumper, new LED taillights, and an LED light bar.
Interior

- Inside, the Creta gets a reworked dual-tone interior and dashboard, with the latter housing a large single-piece screen.
- This unit houses the touchscreen system and a new fully digital colour instrument cluster.
- Look closely and you'll notice the AC controls are revised to a dual-zone automatic unit.
- While the centre console houses a wireless charger, Type-C and Type-A charging ports, and a 12V socket, it continues to get an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function and drive mode/traction mode dial.
- Other features from its predecessor include ventilated front seats with an eight-way electrically adjustable driver seat, and a two-step recline function for the second-row seats.
- The updated Creta offers a panoramic sunroof in the higher variants and even a Level 2 ADAS suite.
- Near the new auto-dimming IRVM is a unit that houses buttons for BlueLink connectivity, SOS, and towing support.
- Now, the EX (O) variant comes with a panoramic sunroof and LED reading lamps, while the SX Premium variants get more features.
- The carmaker has also updated the existing SX (O) variant of the mid-size SUV with new features.
- It benefits from a rain sensor, scooped seats, and a wireless charging pad in the second row.
Powertrain

- Currently, the Hyundai Creta is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
- In fact, the Hyundai Creta is offered with the same set of engines as before, including a 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
- The 1.5-litre NA petrol is tuned to produce 113bhp and 144Nm of torque.
- On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel mill develops 114bhp and 250Nm of torque.
- And then, there's the most powerful turbo-petrol motor that belts out 158bhp and 253Nm of torque.
- The transmission duties are handled by either a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic, seven-speed DCT, or a CVT (IVT) unit.

- Good compact SUV4.0CretaPerformanceMileageComfortCost of OwnershipValue for MoneySafetyStylingSales SupportPerfect car for small Indian family. Good features and awesome looks make the car worth the money spent. it's a smaller version of Santafe we can say but Santafe is overpriced to buy so I am happy with the compact SUV as compared to cost.By Nitin TanejaPosted on: Dec 16, 2019 08:38 PM16984
- A Real Good SUV5.0CretaI have been driving this Car for a Year, to tell you the facts i learnt my driving on this car with an 'L' board [bit funny for a Creta to have an L] when i drove other cars i did feel the difference - My Creta did actually help me learn quick [20 days i was driving in traffic] Due to the power - you just need to put the car in gear and just release the clutch it starts rolling and keep switching the gears upto the 5th without any accelerator you can touch 45-50 - i have tried this on others but they just shut down. Also you don't need to press down the accelerator much just a feather touch and the car just responds with power the max speed that i have reached on this is 186 kmph and due to a sudden diversion in the road had to break at once and it did come down to <60kmph in a very short distance as was able to avoid the barricade - i actually though it was done for me I have traveled long distances in this you don't feel any discomfort even after 8 hrs of constant driving, even in City its really comfortable Do agree that on a mud road with bumps its not that comfortable but its a car for the city and highway and you will love the drive and the cabin comfort Mileage factor: in city i get between 13.5 to 15 KMPL and on the highway i did get around 17-19 KMPL at a speed of 110-120KMPH, if you travel in the 80-100KMPH you get a better mileageBy GregoryPosted on: Dec 25, 2019 01:18 AM5214
- Death threat . Faulty braking sytem .check thousands of comp1.01.4 E Plus Diesel(Diesel)PerformanceMileageComfortCost of OwnershipValue for MoneySafetyStylingSales SupportI faced the brakes failing issue today (3rd time ..but not lucky this time ) on 22 august 2018 in morning. Just because of faulty brake system by hyundai in CRETA , i met an accident at the speed of 20-30km/hr.. car did not stop at all .it scared the shit out of me.. I am afraid and can never do high speeds on creta untill this gets rectified.. Hyundai is risking my life as well as other people life on road. Creta is a powerful vehicle with such weak brakes system. I went to service centre right away and the service manager was fooling around with me with some of their stupid questions. Very bad experience and life threatening. I wont be able to drive my creta with confidence ever in my life.. if feel cheated now.my hard earned money is wasted on such a life risking car.. plz never allow any of your known people to buy hyundai creta .. its a serious request for a very serious concern . I m a user and have faced it . Do take this serioisly and search " brake failure hyundai creta " on google.. u will be shocked with the number of complaints..plz check it and then decide.plzz dont risk ur life ....By Abhi DPosted on: Dec 12, 2019 10:07 PM419
