Nissan SUV Cars in India

The launch of the new-generation SUV is set to take place a year and a half after it was first showcased in India in December 2022.

The recall has been issued due to a faulty front door handle sensor and affects the base XE and mid XL trims

The Nissan Magnite will enter a highly competitive segment when it arrives next year that has proven to be a volumes-driver for most automakers. The Japanese carmaker has only revealed the exterior of the SUV for now and it indeed looks promising. So let's take a closer look at what makes the new Nissan Magnite concept special.

The AMT gearbox will be available as an option across all non-turbo variants of the Magnite.

The Nissan Magnite is right now the top-selling model in the Japanese carmaker's India line-up, accounting for nearly 3000 units a month. Based on the CMF-A+ platform, the Magnite has managed to create its own niche in the highly competitive subcompact SUV market. And there are many reasons for it.

Nissan offers the new Magnite in four key trims - XE, XL, XV and XV Premium, which are further classified into 20 different grades.

Nissan Africa, Middle East and India today unveiled a comprehensive four-year strategy for the region under the company's Global Transformation Plan. The company's business plan aligns with the global direction of rationalization, prioritization and will focus to bring core models and technologies to a region that accounts for around 10 per cent of the world automotive market. Nissan plans to introduce 8 new models in the Africa, Middle East and India region, however, there is no specific information yet on how many models will be introduced in each region. The focus, however, will be on SUVs and affordable sedan models.

Nissan India will be launching a new larger full-sized SUV to take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. Most likely it will be the all-new Nissan Terra which was showcased few months ago.

Nissan had been missing on the action in the full-sized SUV segment unlike a lot of its competition. However, the Japanese car maker has now revealed the new Terra SUV in China. The new Nissan Terra is the latest ladder-on-frame offering and competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X and the likes in the segment.

Nissan reveals its latest offering in the SUV segment - the Qashqai. An improvement upon the previous model,it has a more sportier look, and comes in three trims - 113bhp 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 108bhp 1.5-litre dCi turbodiesel engine and a 128bhp 1.6-litre dCiturbodiesel engine, alongwith a 6-speed manual gearbox.
