2014 Fiat Linea facelift launches tomorrow- March 4

Unveiled at the recently concluded 2014 Auto Expo, the Linea facelift will finally go on sale tomorrow in India. Bookings for the car has already begun. With the redesigned front grille, new bumper and fog lamp cluster, the facelifted Linea appears to be more premium and sleeker in looks than the outgoing model. At the rear, the car gets a new bumper with an additional chrome strip, while the number plate has now been moved to bootlid from the lower bumper. From the side profile, the car looks similar to its predecessor.
The major difference between the old and new Linea lies inside the cabin. With several new features and upgrades such as new three-layer, dual-tone dashboard, instrument cluster with chrome-ringed start-stop dials, centre console with integrated audio system and AC vents and steering wheel with silver chrome, the new Linea looks more up-market than before.
Since, it's a mid-life makeover of the car, there will be no mechanical changes made to the car. It will continue to come with the 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel powertrains. While the 1.4-litre petrol mill churns out a maximum power output of 112bhp and 202Nm of peak torque, the 1.3-litre diesel unit produces 92bhp and 209Nm. All the models of the car will be offered with a five-speed manual transmission gearbox, which transmit power to the front-wheels of the car.
Although, the company hasn't officially announced the pricing of the refreshed Linea, we expect its entry-level variant to be priced around Rs 7.50 lakh.
