Ashok Leyland, Aidrivers To Develop Autonomous Vehicles

Ashok Leyland, and Aidrivers, a UK-based AI-enabled autonomous solutions provider, announced a collaboration between the two companies to design and develop new, cleaner and greener autonomous vehicles, to meet the industry's needs for a sustainable future. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed recently to confirm a long-term alliance that would combine knowledge and experience to push forward the delivery of efficiency and quality services. The agreement, signed earlier this month, states that Aidrivers will provide AI-enabled autonomous solutions and Ashok Leyland will provide vehicle platforms, which would allow both companies to explore target markets and opportunities.

Dr. Rafiq Swash, Founder & CEO, Aidrivers said, “There are clear opportunities where the skills, resources, reputation, and technical know-how of both Aidrivers and Ashok Leyland can complement each other, particularly in meeting the needs of industry for a sustainable future. The agreement foresees the development of autonomous vehicles, industrial mobility equipment, and other autonomous industrial automation solutions that can deliver significant value to fleet operators, logistics providers, and others. As well as specific project opportunities, the MoU encompasses joint marketing and joint market access as appropriate. Through this partnership, Ashok Leyland, and Aidrivers will look to seek innovative ways to deliver efficiency, minimize carbon and environmental impact and reduce costs through AI-enabled autonomous solutions.
