Hyundai i20 N Line: Top 5 Highlights

Hyundai had introduced its performance brand, the N Line, in the Indian market last year and the first model to be launched under this new division is the new Hyundai i20 N Line. The car, which is a much sportier version of the Hyundai i20, comes with several styling updates and revised features to suit the hot hatch tag. Having said that, we must tell you this is not a full-blown N Line model like the ones sold in the global markets, however, it is the sportiest i20 yet. Here are the Top 5 highlights of the 2021 Hyundai i20 N Line.

- The Hyundai i20 N Line comes in three variants- N6 iMT, N8 iMT and N8 DCT, with dual-tone colour options for all three trims. In fact, the car is offered in six single-tone colours, including two dual-tone choices.
New colour and sporty bumpers along with a new alloy wheel design give the i20 N Line more presence than the regular model.
- In terms of looks, the i20 N Line comes with a new black cascading grille with the N Line badge, along with a new, more aggressive-looking bumper with red inserts, and more black highlights. The car also comes with underbody cladding with more red highlights, black ORVMs and an N Line badge on the front fender. It also gets 16-inch Diamond Cut Alloy wheels with N Logo on the hub, along with a revised bumper with a dual exhaust system.
The i20 N Line's biggest rival is the Volkswagen Polo, with the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
- On the inside, the Hyundai i20 N Line gets an all-black cabin with black upholstery on the seats with red contrast dual stitching and piping. Other sporty elements inside the cabin include a new leather-wrapped steering wheel, N inspired gear knob and aluminium foot pedals among others.
- The feature list is identical to the standard i20 Turbo's range-topping Asta (O) trim with creature comforts like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Hyundai's Bluelink connected car technology, premium Bose surround sound system, wireless charging, auto climate control, cruise control and ambient lighting among others.
Interior done in all black. Sportiness quotient upped by the red bits peppered around the cabin. Gearknob and steering wheel are wrapped in leather.
- The Hyundai i20 N Line is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder GDi turbo petrol engine which makes 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The DCT version does the 0-100 kmph sprint in 9.9 seconds. The car also comes with recalibrated steering geometry for better feedback and a 30 per cent stiffer suspension setup.
