Key Highlights
- The F-Pace SVR might get a 5.0-litre V8 engine
- There are a few changes with regards to the tyres, wheels, brakes etc
- The front bumper might get a redesign as well
While the Jaguar F-Pace has been received well from all quarters, Jaguar itself is not very satisfied. It is no secret that Jaguar's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) revels in putting earth-shattering 5.0-litre V8 engines in some of the models from the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio such as the F-Type SVR and the Range Rover Sport SVR. Recently the Jaguar F-Pace SVR was spotted testing in and around the Nurburgring in Germany.
(Jaguar F-Pace SVR)From what we hear, the overall styling and body will remain the same, barring a few cosmetic changes such as a differently styled bumper up front along with bigger air intakes. There will upgrades on the lightweight alloy wheels, low-profile tyres and the suspension as well, so as to make the crossover suited for high-speed driving on a racetrack or regular roads. The test mule in the photographs also had massive disc brakes for providing solid stopping power. In all probability, the F-Pace SVR will get its power from Jaguar's highly rated 5.0-litre V8 engine, which produces a massive 543bhp of peak power and 680Nm of maximum torque. The most powerful engine available in the current F-Pace line-up is the 3.0-litre V6, which belts out 376bhp and 450Nm of torque.
(Jaguar F-Pace SVR)It is still early days of testing for the F-Pace SVR and it is likely to be introduced into the markets sometime in 2018. Upon its launch, the F-Pace SVR will be going up against the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 and the Porsche Macan Turbo.
