Renault Reveals the Kadjar SUV

Renault has taken the wraps off the all-new Kadjar SUV, which will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March,2015. The crossover is set to go on sale in Europe, and several African & Mediterranean countries from the summer, followed by UK and China.
Renault explains the name Kadjar is built around KAD- and -JAR. KAD- is inspired by "quad" representing a go-anywhere four wheel vehicle and -JAR recalls the French words 'agile' and 'jaillir' representing agility and suddenly emerging from somewhere. The sound and spelling of the name have an exotic feel which suggests adventure and discovering new horizons.
Kadjar will sit above the Captur and is meant for those looking for an upgrade from the Megane and the Captur. From what we can see, it has an athletic exterior styling, while its interior is refined and yet, sporty. One must know that the Kadjar will be the first Renault vehicle to be manufactured in China.

The C-segment crossover shares the DNA of the Captur with design cues from the DeZir concept, featuring soft lines, optional LED head-lights and a Clio-like rear end. The 19-inch alloy wheels, available at an extra price, too add to its aesthetic appeal.
Indside, the Kadjar gets high-quality materials and the R-Link 2 multimedia system. The Kadjar is based on the CMF platform that also underpins the Nissan Qashqai and will be available with either a four- or two-wheel-drive configuration.
Yes, it's the rival to the Qashqai and it looks pretty impressive too. Will come to India any time soon? Well, no. Renault will take its time to figure out how they can bring the car here because its main focus for the time being is the Lodgy and the small car.
