Renault Will Launch MPV & Small Car in India Next Year

Renault India will launch a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) and a small car next year to increase its market share to 5 per cent in two years.
"We are ready with the next car. We have products in the pipeline which will give us volume and We want to cross 5 per cent market share in two years time," Renault's Country CEO and Managing Director Sumit Sawhney told reporters here.
Renault's market share in India is 2.6 per cent and by the end of March, it is expected to touch close to 3 per cent, Sawhney said. In Kerala, Renault has a market share of 2.8 per cent and will cross 3.5 per cent.
Renault has sold over 1 lakh Dusters and is committed to bringing the right product to the market, he said.
Aiming to increase its reach in Kerala and taking Renault products to customers doorsteps, the car maker hopes to have dealerships in totally 12 locations in the state by December.
A state-of-the-art dealership, 7th in the state, was opened at Kottayam yesterday.
Renault has plans to augment its network pan India to 175 dealerships by this year end. In South India it will have 45 outlets from the current 38 outlets by the end of this year.
Wooing customers during 'Onam' festival, Renault has launched a campaign to win 5 Dusters which will run till sept 30. Customers are being offered free insurance along with assured free gifts worth Rs 20,000 which range from Samsung Mobile, Samsung Led television.
Renault India Pvt Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Renault SAS France, currently offers 5 models in the Indian market -- the premium sedan Fluence, the luxury SUV Koleos, the premium compact car, Pulse, the SUV, Duster and the premium sedan, Scala.
Renault India also exports the Duster to right hand drive markets, with India set to become a production hub for right hand drive cars.
