Pushed by the 650 Twins, the Himalayan and the latest Meteor 350, Royal Enfield's exports grew a whopping 82 per cent in December.

Backed by a strong product portfolio, Tata Motors registered an 89 per cent hike in passenger vehicles sales with 68,803 units sold between October and December 2020.

MG Motor India sold a total of 4010 units in December 2020, which includes 3430 units of the Hector SUV while the rest comprises models like the ZS, and the Gloster.

The company also exported 713 units in December 2020.

In fact, the company has already said that it has sold 8000 units of the car in the country, which just goes to show how successful the car has become in this short a time.

While the year-on-year growth might be a significant one, month-on-month sales dropped by 2.9 per cent compared to sales in November 2020.

Yamaha Motor India registered a growth of 33 per cent in year-on-year as it reported a sale of 39,224 two-wheelers in December 2020.

Maruti Suzuki has recorded a growth of 19.5 per cent in the domestic market at 150,288 units as compared to 125,735 units sold in the same month last year.
