Even Maruti Suzuki recorded nil sales in April last year when the entire nation was under a strict lockdown to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The units sold in April this year are not comparable with April 2020, since no vehicles were sold last year in the domestic market due to COVID related lockdown.

Last month the company sold 9,622 units in the domestic market, witnessing a drop of above 35 per cent in Month-on-Month (MoM) sales, as against 15,001 units sold in March 2021.
