Two-Wheeler Sales June 2021: Bajaj Auto Registers 22 Per Cent Growth

- Bajaj Auto posted sales of 346,136 units (two-wheelers+CVs) in June 2021
- Bajaj registered sales of 155,640 two-wheelers in the domestic market
- Bajaj exported 154,938 two-wheelers in June 2021
Bajaj Auto posted sales of 346,136 units (two-wheelers + CVs) in June 2021, which is growth of 24 per cent over total units sold in June 2020. A better idea of performance may come from correlating the sales of June 2021 with May 2021. The company posted sales of 271,862 units (two-wheelers + CVs) in May 2021, which was 27.32 per cent lower than June 2021. Bajaj registered sales of 155,640 two-wheelers in the domestic market in June 2021 which is 6 per cent more than what it sold in June 2020 and a massive 157.93 per cent more than the domestic sales of 60,342 two-wheelers in May 2021.

Bajaj exported 154,938 two-wheelers in June 2021, which is an increase of 43 per cent over 108,427 units exported in June 2020 and over last month it is a decrease of 14 per cent. Bajaj posted total sales of 310,578 two-wheelers in June 2021, which is a growth of 22 per cent over June 2020 and 29.11 per cent over May 2021.

Coming to commercial vehicles, Bajaj sold 6,196 units in the domestic market which is a growth of 38 per cent over June 2020. Bajaj sold just 488 CV units domestically in May 2021. The company exported 29,362 CV units in June 2021, which is a growth of 59 per cent over 18,481 units exported in June 2020. In total, Bajaj Auto sold 35,558 units of CVs in June 2021 (domestic+exports) which translates into 55 per cent growth.

Combining the two-wheeler and commercial vehicle sales, Bajaj Auto sold 161,836 units in the domestic market and exported 184,200 units in June 2021. Compared to June 2021, Bajaj Auto sold 60,830 units in the domestic market and exported 211,032 units in May 2021. The company sold a total of 346,136 units (domestic+exports) in June 2021.
